Dewalt Tough System Review – How Cool Are These Things!

The Dewalt Tough System has been around for a while and to some may have gone under the radar. This is unfortunate as this box system is world class and deserves thorough consideration when it comes time to purchase a new tool box or power tool storage box.

I thought it time to give an overview of the system as a whole and then over the following week I’ll include a post on each of the individual boxes that make up the system

To begin with lets be clear this is a “system of boxes” designed to work in unison to make the drudgery of schlepping gear around site easier.  What’s not to like!

The system comprises of:

• DS150 Tough System Box – 158mm x 336mm x 550mm (1-70-321)
• DS300 Tough System Box – 308mm x 336mm x 550mm (1-70-322)
• DS400 Tough System Box – 408mm x 366mm x 550mm (1-70-323)
• DSCarrier Tough System Carrier Trolley

You can purchase the tough system as individual boxes or as a complete kit with one of each box and a trolley. With the flexibility the tough system provides buying individually allows you to tailor your case options to the way you work and the items you need to carry. As shown on the right boxes can be stacked and clipped together to provide a single lift or can be accompanied with the trolley in various configurations even allowing area at the trolley base to lug a bag or two of cement.

These are great boxes with some amazing features such as:

• IP65 weatherproof rating – Dust tight and water jet resistant
• 30kg-50kg storage capacity
• Tough robust construction
• Internal organisation options to eliminate clutter
